The Chrysler Motor Corporation was founded in 1925. In 1928, the new company took over Dodge Brothers Inc., a company that was four times larger than Chrysler itself, and became the third-largest automobile manufacturer in the US as a result.
At the time, the company’s brands included Chrysler, Dodge, Imperial, DeSoto and Plymouth. Apart from Imperial, vehicles for all other brands were assembled in Schinznach-Bad. Models that could be determined from the production figures are shown below.
